TEHRAN – The Iranian and Russian diplomats on Wednesday discussed the latest agreements made in the international meetings on the Syrian conflict, stressing that all actors of the conflict must show commitment to a political settlement.

The issue was raised in a phone conversation between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov, Fars reported.

During the talks, the two diplomats reviewed different ways to implement the recent political agreements on Syria, underlining the necessity to keep the terrorist groups away from the talks and crisis settlement process.

Bogdanov described the recent agreements made in the meetings of the international group to support Syria as a step forward.
